Zirenth was a bronze dragon born late in the Second Interval. His rider was T'mar, a wingleader at Fort Weyr and later the Weyrleader of Telgar Weyr.
Biography[]
Since Zirenth was a bit older than bronze Rineth, it was expected that T'mar would become Weyrleader, but during the mating flight, Rineth flew senior gold Melirth, making K'lior Weyrleader of Fort Weyr.
One of the most important events in Zirenth's known life was when T'mar was accidentally thrown against a rock wall. Zirenth, not able to feel any life in T'mar's body, tried to go between forever. Unknown to Zirenth, T'mar was not dead, but only in a coma. To stop Zirenth, Benden's former Weyrwoman Lorana and harper Kindan reached out to Zirenth with their minds, forming a bond with him much like a rider's. They kept Zirenth from dying until it could be proven that T'mar wasn't dead.
When Telgar's senior queen Talenth rose to mate, Zirenth caught her. After that ride, T'mar and Fiona became weyrmates.
