Valli Lieb was a colonist on Pern. She was a geologist.
Valli was part of the team that explored and mined around Drake's Lake. She found samples of bauxite during the expedition. She also discovered a high-yield mineral oil. When Svenda Olubushtu complained about some of the decisions made by the colony's leaders, Valli was quick to remind her that everyone signed the charter and agreed to abide by it.
