Kirnety was a boy at Telgar Hold during the Ninth Pass. He Impressed bronze Fidirth at Benden Weyr, after which time he became K'irnety.

The text in The White Dragon refers to Kirnety as "Young Kirnety from Fort Hold". This reference is made during one of Ramoth's hatchings at Benden Weyr.
