Silvina was Headwoman at Harper Hall late in the Eighth Interval and early in the Ninth Pass.
History[]
Silvina grew up at Harper Hall and, like her mother, Lorra, she loved Harpers. She would become Headwoman at the hall after her mother retired to the family home at Southern Boll Hold. She would have a liaison with Robinton, following the death of Robinton's wife. When Silvina became pregnant with Robinton’s child, Robinton offered to marry her. She refused, saying that Robinton still called his lost wife Kasia at night, and Silvina did not want to be second to a dead woman. She also admitted that she wasn't meant to be any one person's spouse. Silvina would give birth to Robinton's son Camo, who was affected by a lack of oxygen at birth.
Silvina remained at the Harper Hall, overseeing work and assisting the students on occasion, such as Menolly and Piemur.
Personality[]
Silvina was very kind to Menolly and was «forever anticipating» Robinton. She saw through Dunca and many of the apprentices of the Harper Hall. She had a very fine voice and used it often, not for singing, but for keeping the members of her kitchen in line. Menolly was impressed by the kind way she dealt with Camo. Having lived at Harper Hall all her life, she knew harper drum codes very well and thus was aware of happenings across Pern.
