Dask was a watch-wher at Camp Natalon late in the Second Interval. He was bonded to Danil.
Kindan suggested that he and Master Zist sing their song for the wedding of Kindan's sister Silstra while Dask was flying. When Dask flew overhead, as Silstra walked down the aisle, and then again as the groom Terregar walked down the aisle, Kindan told Zist that Dask was flying with a glow in his claws. (In later years, Zenor and Silstra claimed that Dask was carrying a basket of glows.) While Kindan was singing his solo, Dask began singing along.
An accident occurred at the mine, causing a cave-in and killing Danil and several of Kindan's brothers. An injured Dask insisted upon digging through the cave-in before dying, allowing the surviving miners to be brought out — including Zenor, who was saved by his father Talmaric and Kindan's brother Kaylek before both men died in the cave-in.
Dask had been chosen to sire two clutches in his youth.
