Arnor was Master Archivist late in the Eighth Interval and early in the Ninth Pass.
Biography[]
Even though Robinton wanted songs copied onto sheets of pulped wood, Arnor wouldn't give the pulped wood to apprentices. Since he was a fusser, Master Arnor felt that apprentices should learn how to copy properly on old hide before they were entrusted with the precious pulped wood sheets.
After Arnor admitted that Menolly had a mighty neat hand, she became his most accurate copyist. Conversely, in his later years Master Arnor was said to have been writing up records with a crabbed tight script.

Arnor was short, stooped and sour. His eyesight was so bad that he eventually became almost blind.
