Anella was Lord Tolocamp's mistress and later Lady Holder of Fort Hold.
Biography[]
During the time that Anella was still Lord Tolocamp's mistress, she and her family were brought into Fort Hold from the fire-heights, since it would have been poor taste for her to arrive through the main entryway.
Since Tolocamp had instructed Anella to bring not only her two babies, but her mother, father, three younger brothers, and six of the frailer of her family dependents, she was surprised that they had all been able to climb the fire-heights. When they arrived, Nerilka assigned them rooms and two drudges, one general and one from the nursery.
After Tolocamp quarantined himself, he instructed Anella to read his order, which appointed and deputized Lady Anella as Lady Holder. Initially, Anella did not remember Nerilka's name, instead addressing her as "Nalka". She treated Nerilka like a servant and made Nerilka sew dresses for her.
Since Tolocamp never understood how his late wife Lady Pendra had handled Hold management, Nerilka was required to show Anella around the hold and describe which keys were for what use.
After Anella required Nerilka's presence to cut and start seaming several gowns for herself, Anella told Lilla and Nia that they could have tunics from the remnants of the three lengths.
Personality and Traits[]
Anella was shorter than Nerilka and younger by several Turns. She had a spiteful, smug personality. According to Nerilka, she lacked dignity, experience, sense, and humor. She knew very little about Hold management. She was vain and often wore exquisite dresses that were not suited to the atmosphere.
